In order to become the 10th team to compete in the ODI World Cup, Netherlands required to chase down the target in 44 overs, only then their net run-rate could have been better than Scotland. Surprisingly, the Dutch team chased down the target of 278 runs in 42.5 overs, courtesy of 123 runs off 92 balls by Bas de Leede, laced up with seven fours and five sixes. Not only this, De Leede bagged five wickets in first innings while bowling to restrict Scotland to under 300 odd runs.
